Parade Participant Info & Guidelines

Thank you so much for being a part of our parade! We appreciate it as does the community! Please make sure you are following these procedures and guidelines.

Location: Near Ligonier Street, Latrobe PA

(Exact line-up location will be sent by email prior to the event)

Time: Participants must be ready for line-up by 9am (but we encourage you to come earlier. We will have a coffee food truck and snacks for purchase to start your day right!)

By Participating in the parade, you agree to the following:

1.           Distribution of goods

For liability reasons, the City of Latrobe ordinances state NO throwing of items from a moving vehicle. (No food, candy, etc.) Items can be distributed by WALKING along the parade route and HANDING the items to the public. Also, there should be no solicitation of goods or donations (unless approved by event leadership)

2.           All Vehicles & Operators must obey PA. Traffic Laws

Anyone under the age of 16 will not be permitted to operate any type of motorized vehicle without a Valid Driver's License. Including quads. All vehicles must be in safe operable condition to participate in the parade. If the vehicle is not and is for show, it must be on a flatbed trailer or truck with the proper hitches required under PA. state laws.

3.           Motorcycle Riders

Motorcycle Riders can wear proper safety gear at their own discretion. We will not be held responsible for any injuries in conjunction with the July 4th Parade, prior, during or following the Parade line-up.

4.           Sirens and Air Horns

No sirens or air horns are to be sounded. (Before, during or after the parade)

5.           Reckless Driving

Safety is our top priority…no unsafe or reckless driving in the parade line. No squealing of tires or revving engines. VIOLATORS WILL BE CITED. We are requesting this for the public's safety due to the high volume of spectators.

6.           Alcohol

No alcoholic beverages are permitted before or during the parade procession by the parade participants.

7.           Stopping in route

No stopping of any vehicle along the parade route. We must have continuous movement through out the parade.
